Support the Employment of People with Disabilities Limited ("SEPD Ltd") was set up by the members of the Advisory Committee on Enhancing Employment of People with Disabilities under the Companies Ordinance (Cap 32) in August 2002.

The SEPD Ltd. is established to enhance the self-reliance and work opportunities for persons with disabilities so as to help them re-integrate into the community. To facilitate promotion of work capabilities of persons with disabilities, SEPD Ltd. registered and held a trademark of "Support the Employment of People with Disabilities" ("SEPD") since September 2003. The Marketing Consultancy Office (Rehabilitation) of Social Welfare Department is entrusted to promote "SEPD".

The abbreviation of the brand "SEPD" (also stands for "Superb", "Excellent", "Prominent" and "Distinguished") represents the good quality and uniqueness of services and products provided by persons with disabilities. It symbolizes the creativity and excellent skills of persons with disabilities and invites the public to provide more opportunities to persons with disabilities to "Let Them Shine".

"SEPD" features a range of services and products including catering, cleaning services, car beauty, letter shopping, massage, data entry and handicrafts. Innovative and refined products and services under the brand of "SEPD" are developed progressively to expand the business opportunities and meet the changing markets.
