Let Them Shine Logo Kick-off Ceremony

Let Them Shine Logo

Famous lyrist Mr. Chan Siu-kei and renowned singer and song writer Ms. GiGi Leung joined hands to compose a theme song "Let Them Shine" for Support The Employment of People With Disabilities (SEPD) in 2009. MCO(R) has adopted the theme song and launched a series of products and services under "Let Them Shine" including T-shirts, cookies, corporate premiums, arts and crafts, and commercial support services together with "Let them shine Market@Star Ferry" with venue sponsored by Star Ferry, the Let Them Shine Series has received wide support from the commercial sector.

To make the Let Them Shine Series a success, MCO(R) decided to register the Let Them Shine Logo which symbolises a person with energetic power and positive mind. The Logo also represents the creativity and prevalence of persons with disabilities. It is hoped that the work abilities and creativity of persons with disabilities can be shown to the public through the promotion of the Let Them Shine Series and more work opportunities will be created.

We hope to establish the Let Them Shine Logo as one of the famous brands in Hong Kong and thus have taken the opportunity of the 46th Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo, one of the biggest events in promoting Hong Kong Brands, to officially announce the Launch of the Let Them Shine Logo. The Kick-off Ceremony was officiated by The Assistant Director of Social Welfare (Rehabilitation and Medical Services) Mrs. Cecilia Yuen, the Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Enhancing Employment of People with Disabilities, Mr. Ivan Ho, and the Let Them Shine Ambassador, Mr. Jonathan Wong on December 12. Six non-governmental organisations also staged performances at the Ceremony to showcase the talents and creativity of persons with disabilities.
